Diamond’s and Gail’s Best Friends Support

Wigtownshire Women and Cancer

 And

 Stranraer Cancer Drop In Centre

On 25th September 2022 Diamonds and Gail’s Best Friends sponsored the closing competition at Creachmore Gold Club memory of Grier Walker. The event was supported by friends, family and The Royal Hotel raffle prizes as well as a small donation from the Club which totalled £1300 and was split between Wigtownshire Women and Cancer and Stranraer Cancer Drop In.

Wigtownshire Women and Cancer wish to express their profound thanks to local fundraising groups like Diamonds and Gail’s Best Friends, without which we would not be able to deliver the community initiatives to people affected by cancer.

WWAC are about to launch a new project which will be delivered by a well-respected local beauty salon where people undergoing and post treatment will be able to receive a variety of therapeutic beauty treatments.   This will be launched EARLY 2023!!!

We are keen for people to know how we put the hard-earned funds they donate to us to good use. We all know at Wigtownshire Women and Cancer how important it is to be able to have something to look forward to when going through treatment because that’s how we felt when we were in that position.

This year our two new projects are:

Short Breaks for people undergoing treatment and their families.

Therapeutic Beauty Treatments  - EARLY 2023

All of this is due to the kindness of local fundraising.

Please see our webpage www.wigtownshirewomenandcancer.co.uk for details of all the projects we deliver to support people affected by cancer.

Aileen McClymont, Centre Manager said ‘Everyone at Stranraer Cancer Drop In Centre was delighted to receive this wonderful donation from Diamonds and Gail’s Best Friends alongside Wigtownshire Women and Cancer. These donations help us to keep providing support to local people affected by cancer and their families.’
