Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway is a  charitable organisation that exists to promote, support, and develop a strong third sector, social enterprise, volunteering, and connect into community planning.

Their sector includes organisations that exist to improve the lives of the people and communities of Dumfries and Galloway.

WWAC are delighted to have received a grant from Third Sector's Wellbeing Fund, and this funding will be used to expand the capacity of our freelance volunteer co-ordinator in order to enable us to expand our services and our reach, with a particular focus on Newton Stewart, Cree Valley and the Machars. This additional capacity will enable us to recruit more volunteers affected by cancer (particularly from DG8 postcode areas) to key roles to help us sustain and expand our work, including: Committee members; Wellbeing, Self-management and Peer support volunteers; Outreach, Promo and Web volunteers; Fundraising volunteers; Lived Experience volunteers who will be able to represent the voices of women with cancer to support service design and decision making.
