Penny Halliday

In 2008 Penny started treatment for stage 3 Breast Cancer. Penny has worked as a Public Servant for NHS Dumfries and Galloway since 2010 as a Non Executive Director, Vice Chair of NHS Dumfries and Galloway as well as Chair of the Integration Joint Board Dumfries and Galloway. She has been passionate about cancer services since her own experience and is keen that WWAC listen to people affected by cancer and their families regarding what is important to them to develop and deliver what matters to people.   Post Covid we will undoubtedly face old and new challenges Penny believes that we will be stronger if we work together as a community and continue to show the compassion and determination we all hold so dear. She is particularly keen to offer people affected by cancer and their families post treatment support regarding overall health and wellbeing, from Exercise Programmes, Afternoon Tea, Peer Support, Respite, and just having fun!
